Our client is a leading Civil Engineering and Earthworks contractor operating across England. We deliver projects valued between £100,000 and £60 million for public and private sector clients across diverse industries. They are looking to hire a Purchase Ledger on a full-time and permanent basis.

Purpose of role

The Purchase Ledger Assistant will play a vital role within the Finance team, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of supplier accounts. The role will involve maintaining accurate records, resolving queries, and supporting the payment process. You will work closely with both the Finance team and the Plant Hire Department to ensure timely invoice processing and payment reconciliation.

Person Specification
  • AAT qualified - desirable
  • Purchase Ledger experience
  • Experience with invoice processing, reconciliation and supplier account management
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • IT literate – Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Enthusiastic and eager to learn
  • Understanding of AP
  • Familiarity with VAT and Tax Regulations
  • Processing Invoices
