COME AND JOIN AN EXCELLENT COMPANY BASED IN STALLINGBOROUGH!
I am working exclusively with a super busy customer who is looking for a bright, proactive, and detail-oriented Purchase ledger/Accounts Clerk to join their small finance team on a part-time basis. This is a 6-month fixed-term contract to provide essential support during a period of growth, with a strong possibility of becoming permanent.
You will work 20 hours a week and these hours can be flexible. You’ll be working in a fast-paced environment, supporting both the Purchase Ledger and Customer Accounts functions. The role is varied and hands-on, ideal for someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves and getting stuck in. Key Responsibilities:
  • Supplier Statement Reconciliations
  • Invoice processing (a couple of hundred a month)
  • Raising purchase orders and handling ad hoc finance admin
  • Chasing outstanding payments and resolving invoice queries with our customers (this will make up around 10–15% of the role)
  • Raising and correcting customer invoices and credit notes
  • Manual invoice splitting and data entry – accuracy and attention to detail are essential.
  • Using Excel for data input and basic functions (e.g. VLOOKUPs for reconciliations)
  • Using the finance system to maintain accurate records

Previous experience in a finance or accounts role essential
Experience with supplier reconciliations and invoice processing
Familiarity with finance systems (training will be provided if needed)
A confident communicator who’s comfortable speaking with suppliers and customers
A team player who’s also able to work independently and take the initiative.
Someone who’s detail-focused, organised, and able to manage a busy workload
A positive, can-do attitude
A good cultural fit: friendly, approachable, someone who enjoys being part of a team
Comfortable with Excel (especially data input and basic formulas like VLOOKUP)
