About the Role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Purchase Ledger Specialist with strong knowledge of the Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) to join a well known local business. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with proven purchase ledger experience who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and enjoys working with both suppliers and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Processing supplier invoices accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with CIS regulations.
  • Managing purchase ledger accounts, reconciling statements, and resolving discrepancies.
  • Preparing payment runs and maintaining supplier relationships.
  • Supporting month‑end close with ledger reconciliations and reporting.
  • Collaborating with finance colleagues to ensure smooth workflow and compliance.
About You

  • Previous experience in purchase ledger/accounts payable roles.
  • Working knowledge of the Construction Industry Scheme (CIS).
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Confident communicator with suppliers and internal teams.
  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero, or similar).
