About the Role
We’re working exclusively with the English-Speaking Union (ESU) to appoint a Property Project Manager to lead the delivery of a high-profile refurbishment project at Dartmouth House, their historic London headquarters.
This role sits at the heart of a major transformation programme, backed by significant funding, to create an international hub for debate and education. You’ll act as the client-side lead, overseeing the refurbishment from design through to completion while shaping the future operational model of the building.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of a major refurbishment project
- Act as the primary client-side interface with consultants, contractors, and advisors
- Manage programme, budget, risks, and governance
- Coordinate internal stakeholders and drive key project decisions
- Oversee procurement and commercial processes, including reviewing costs and payments
- Ensure compliance with planning, heritage, and statutory requirements
- Support operational readiness, including facilities management planning post-completion
- Provide clear reporting to senior leadership and trustees
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience delivering £10m+ refurbishment or construction projects
- Strong background in client-side project management or leading complex schemes
- Experience managing budgets, consultants, and project risks
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ideally, experience with heritage or listed buildings
- Ability to balance hands-on delivery with strategic oversight
Why This Role?
- High-profile, purpose-driven project with real social and educational impact
- Opportunity to take full ownership client-side
- Exposure to a complex heritage refurbishment
- Work within a collaborative, mission-led organisation undergoing major growth
- Strong likelihood of contract extension or longer-term opportunity
