Your new company

Your new job working as a Property Account Handler will be based in the City of London for an Independent Lloyd’s Broker. Your new Brokers employ over 300 staff around the UK. They have grown rapidly in the last 20 years to become one of the top independent brokers in the UK dealing with over
16,000+ clients. Having completed numerous successful acquisitions, the company has secured further funding to continue its ambitious growth plans. They hold Chartered Insurance Broker status, awarded in recognition of their commitment to maintaining the highest standards in many areas.
Due to growth within their Property Owners’ division, a permanent role for a Property Account Handler has arisen.

Your new role

Working as an Account Handler within the Property team, your role will include managing client insurance portfolios efficiently, including Residential Property Owners, D&O, and Engineering cover. Some key responsibilities in this role include supporting preparation, renewal and administration of policies, maintaining client relationships, alongside liaising with insurers to negotiate terms. Other responsibilities will include processing new business, renewals, endorsements, and cancellations, maintaining up-to-date client records etc. Your role will focus on fostering strong client relationships, driving retention and supporting operational excellence. This role also provides the opportunity to develop your career within an award-winning team, helping to drive its continued growth and excellence.

What you'll need to succeed

Your previous experience working as an Account Handler handling property business or Real Estate Account handler role either from an Insurance broker or Lloyd’s Broker will contribute to your success in securing this role. You will have experience in the servicing of clients. You will be confident in being able to deal with clients and your experience of working in a similar role is essential. To succeed in this role, it is also essential that you are proficient in using Insurance platforms and client management systems, along with knowledge of commercial insurance products and markets. This is a superb opportunity for a confident and highly motivated individual, who is organised, can multitask and prioritise their day. Ideally, we will be progressing towards Dip CII along with experience using Acturis or similar Insurance systems, but this is not essential.
