Your new role

We are seeking a highly skilled and driven Project Manager to join a Directorate on a contract basis, this role offers an opportunity to play a key part in shaping how care is designed and delivered across Wales.


You will lead a portfolio of projects focused on strengthening maternity services, working with national and local stakeholders to influence strategy, improve service delivery, and achieve measurable enhancements in patient experience and quality of care. This is a fast paced, high impact role where your leadership will directly support improvements across a complex and evolving healthcare environment.


What you'll need to succeed

  • Proven experience delivering complex, mufti-stakeholder projects (healthcare experience is beneficial)

  • Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills

  • Working knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., PRINCE2, Agile)

  • Experience overseeing financial management, budgeting and resource allocation

  • Understanding of policy development, regulatory frameworks and governance processes

  • Familiarity with digital tools, information systems and data-driven decision-making

  • Workforce or staff modelling experience would be an advantage
