Project Manager, Belfast, 9-month contract, up to £400 p/d

We are working on behalf of a global financial services client to bring to market a PM position, this is an opportunity for a project manager to join a global organisation working on a migration project.

The Markets Program Execution & Transformation team works with business functions, including Legal, Compliance, Finance and O&T to identify, mobilize and execute responses to regulatory and cross-business transformational projects.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Lead the execution of multiple workstreams across the program, develop and manage a comprehensive project plan
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all project-related communications
  • Manage internal and external dependencies across workstreams, including working closely with Business, Operations, and Technology teams
  • Oversee the planning and execution of the data migration strategy, ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of data being moved to new platforms.
  • Produce accurate and insightful project update materials and artifacts, tailoring to various forums and committees
  • Developing individual project artifacts as necessary, including Business Requirements Documentation (BRDs), Functional Requirements Documentation (FRDs), test planning and scenario documents for user acceptance testing (UAT), project plans as required for all key technical delivery

Key experience and skills:
  • Strong & proven track record in technical project management
  • Experience leading a migration project in a banking environment, preferably investment banking
  • Ability to drive change to business practices
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
  • Demonstrated analytical skills with follow-up and problem-solving capability

This position requires 3 days per week onsite in Belfast; only candidates who can meet this requirement will be considered.
