Project manager, 9-month contract, up to £520 p/d, Belfast (hybrid 3 days in office)

We are working with a global financial institution to recruit a motivated and detail-oriented Project/Business Analyst to join the Markets Transformation team. This role supports a global, multi-year initiative to modernize Futures and OTC Clearing platforms. You’ll work with stakeholders across Operations, Technology, and the Business to deliver scalable solutions that improve efficiency and control. This is a great opportunity to grow your expertise in derivatives clearing within a high-impact change program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver transformation projects across Futures and OTC Clearing Operations.
  • Create and manage project documentation (charters, requirements, plans, risk logs).
  • Coordinate with global teams to ensure timely delivery of milestones.
  • Track progress, manage risks, and report to senior stakeholders.
  • Support process improvement and re-engineering initiatives.
  • Prepare presentations and updates for senior management.
  • Provide evidence of milestone completion to global program leads.
  • Promote change management and continuous improvement.

Essential Criteria
  • 3–5 years’ experience in Operations, ideally in financial services.
  • Strong project management and business analysis skills (Agile & Waterfall).
  • Knowledge of ETD and OTC clearing; regulatory reporting is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, Project).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience working in global, cross-functional teams.
