Your new role
- Full commercial, contractual, and technical ownership of assigned projects.
- Lead project teams across automation, functional safety, control panel manufacture, and E&I installation.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and CDM 2015 regulations.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and risk registers.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring strong relationships and successful delivery.
- Oversee subcontractor performance and ensure quality assurance across all phases.
- Identify and capitalise on variation opportunities and business development leads.
- Provide regular internal reporting and contribute to strategic planning and resource management.
What you'll need to succeed
- Proven experience managing engineering projects in sectors such as Energy, Nuclear, Utilities, or Industrial Automation.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with NEC3/4, MF1, or bespoke contract forms.
- Familiarity with project controls tools such as MS Project, Primavera P6, and SAP.
- HNC/HND in a relevant engineering discipline (essential).
- APMP (PMQ) or equivalent project management qualification (desirable).
- Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g. IET, APM) is advantageous.
