Project Manager – Mandarin Speaking – 12 month+ contract – London, Hybrid 3 days

Your new company

A leading global financial services organisation is seeking an experienced Mandarin-speaking Project Manager to support the delivery of high-profile business initiatives within a complex and fast-paced environment. Operating across international markets, the organisation is undergoing significant strategic change and requires a delivery-focused professional who can engage effectively with both business and commercial stakeholders across multiple regions.

Your new role

A key aspect of the role will involve conducting and leading discussions in Mandarin with external and internal stakeholders, translating business requirements into actionable project plans and providing clear recommendations to support decision-making. You will be expected to challenge assumptions, resolve obstacles, and ensure accountability across all parties involved, while delivering concise updates to senior leadership.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Proven track record of successfully delivering complex business projects and strategic initiatives.
  • Native or business-fluent Mandarin, with experience leading commercial and stakeholder discussions in Mandarin.
  • Previous experience within Financial Services, ideally within exchanges, trading, banking, capital markets, or asset management environments.
  • Strong experience working directly with business and commercial functions rather than purely technology-focused teams.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to engage senior leaders across multiple workstreams.
  • Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous and evolving environments, driving projects forward and maintaining delivery focus.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities, with a proactive approach to identifying solutions and making recommendations.
  • Excellent communication skills, comfortable delivering executive-level reporting while maintaining strong attention to detail.

What you'll get in return

  • Initial 12-month contract with potential for extension.
  • Competitive day rate of up to £850 per day via Umbrella.
  • Hybrid working model with 3 days per week in a London office.
