Your New Role

As a Civils Project Manager, you will lead the delivery of a £35 million highways package, part of a larger, high-profile scheme which will include a new single carriageway approximately 2.2km with shared walking and cycling facilities.
Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:
  • Manage all site staff and subcontractors
  • Plan and deliver projects within budget and schedule
  • Ensure compliance with company, health, safety, environmental, and quality procedures
  • Monitor and control project resources and progress
  • Maintain high standards of quality and quality construction
  • Liaise with clients, designers, and project teams
  • Chair project and subcontractor meetings, compile reports
  • Maintain contractual records and submit O&M manuals
  • Introduce innovations and control contract costs

What You Will Need to Succeed

This role will require previous experience in a similar Civils Management role, working on large scale projects and taking the lead across various civils and structural disciplines. Some key requirements and traits will include:
  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field
  • Ability to manage large-scale projects, ensuring timely and budget-conscious delivery.
  • Proficient in project planning, scheduling, and resource management
  • Strong knowledge of engineering principles, construction methods, and project management software
  • Proven leadership skills to manage diverse teams and resolve conflicts
  • Excellent communication skills for effective stakeholder interaction
  • Expertise in risk identification and mitigation strategies
  • Skilled in managing project budgets and cost control
  • Willingness to travel as required for project oversight.
  • Full UK driving licence.
