Project Co-ordinator | Permanent | Based in Stockton

Your new company

Are you a highly organised Project Co‑ordinator with experience supporting technical or engineering teams? I am recruiting on behalf of a well‑established consultancy that delivers electrical engineering design and project services across the UK and internationally. This is an excellent opportunity to play a central role in ensuring the smooth delivery of complex engineering projects while working closely with commercial, engineering, and project teams.

Your new role

As a Project Co‑ordinator, you will support the full project lifecycle—helping to manage project variations, maintain documentation, track performance, and facilitate communication between key departments. You will work alongside Lead Engineers, Quantity Surveyors, and commercial teams to ensure accurate planning, reporting, and compliance throughout each project.

  • Transfer approved CTR (Cost Time Resource) sheets into time-writing software for accurate tracking and reporting.
  • Update project management software to reflect changes in scope, variations, and deliverables.
  • Request new or updated CTRs from engineers when required.
  • Prepare and maintain Kick‑off Meeting documentation using established templates.
  • Coordinate with engineering and commercial teams to monitor project variations and maintain alignment.
  • Support the Management of Change (MoC) process, working with Contract Managers and QS teams.
  • Assist in interpreting client requirements and drafting Scope of Work (SoW) documents.
  • Update project timelines and deliverables using Microsoft Project.
  • Complete and coordinate vendor questionnaires alongside technical leads.
  • Monitor progress, maintain communication across departments, and flag risks or issues.
  • Support engineers and management with project cost estimates, quotations, and CTR preparation.
What you'll need to succeed
  • Previous experience in a Project Co‑ordinator or Project Support role.
  • Background in engineering, construction, or technical consultancy (preferred).
  • Strong understanding of project management principles.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and MS Project.
  • Experience using project management or time-tracking software.
  • Knowledge of CTRs, SoWs, and contract variation processes is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with electrical engineering environments is a bonus.
