Project Accountant required for a highly acquisitive Technology business based in Tameside

Your new company

Your new company are are a dynamic and fast-growing technology SME based in Hyde, committed to delivering innovative solutions across multiple sectors. As they continue to scale, they're looking to recruit a proactive and commercially-minded Project Accountant to join our team.

Your new role

Your new role will offer a blend of hands on accounting and project leadership, including system implementation. You will be responsible for managing the end to end accounting duties while also leading the migration of multiple business systems onto Sage 200. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial systems of the business, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring data integrity throughout the transition. Your responsibilities will include reconciling balance sheet accounts, support the production of monthly management accounts, and assist with cash flow forecasting and variance analysis. You will lead the end-to-end migration project to Sage 200. This will involve working closely with internal stakeholders define the scope, timeline, and deliverables. You will be responsible for mapping and cleansing data, developing and testing workflows, and configuring reporting templates and user access protocols.

What you'll need to succeed

To succeed in this varied role you will be ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified hands on experience in month-end processes, including journal postings, reconciliations, and management reporting. You’ll also bring proven experience in ERP systems, ideally Sage 200, and have led or played a key role in system migration projects. Strong Excel skills and familiarity with data manipulation tools will help you navigate the technical aspects of the role.
