Your new role

As a programme officer, you will be responsible for overseeing the final stages of EU-funded programmes, ensuring projects are closed in line with contractual, regulatory, and member state requirements. You’ll manage the verification of project outputs, liaise with stakeholders, and contribute to the preparation of reports for government departments and EU institutions. This role also involves supporting research and communications activities based on project outcomes and evaluations.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Coordinating the closure and monitoring of funded projects.
  • Verifying project outputs and results against agreed objectives.
  • Liaising with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure compliance and timely reporting.
  • Preparing detailed reports and governance papers for senior stakeholders.
  • Conducting research and drafting briefings to support digital and communications outputs.
  • Managing data collection and analysis using electronic systems.

What you'll need to succeed

To thrive in this role, you’ll need:
  • Proven experience in project management, monitoring, or evaluation—ideally within a public sector or funding environment.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills, with the ability to interpret complex data.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
  • Familiarity with EU funding programmes or similar regulatory frameworks is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in using electronic project management or data systems.
