Requirement for a Production Shift Manager

Your new company

A leading name in the agri-food industry is seeking an experienced Shift Manager to join their growing team. This organisation has a long-standing reputation for producing high-quality, sustainable food products and continues to expand across UK, Ireland, and international markets.

Your new role

As Shift Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing evening production operations, ensuring targets are achieved safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. You will lead and motivate a team of operatives, promoting a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Collaboration with Quality Control, Maintenance, and Dispatch teams will be key to ensuring smooth and effective operations.

What you'll need to succeed

You will have proven supervisory experience within a food manufacturing environment, coupled with strong leadership and people management skills. Attention to detail and a commitment to food safety and product quality are essential. You should be confident in problem-solving and decision-making in a fast-paced setting, and able to communicate effectively across departments. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in lean manufacturing or continuous improvement, a relevant Health & Safety qualification (such as IOSH Managing Safely), and a mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting minor equipment issues.

What you'll get in return

In addition to a competitive salary, you will benefit from a comprehensive healthcare plan (including dependents), a company pension with life assurance, and access to an active health and wellbeing programme. This is an exciting opportunity to join a business at a pivotal moment in its growth.
