Your new role

As a Production Planner, you will be responsible for supporting operations in all aftermarket planning activities, ensuring alignment with demand and supply chain requirements. Reporting to the Planning Manager, you’ll work closely with various supply chain functions to plan and schedule work in accordance with sales demand. Your role will involve maintaining production schedules, identifying risks and deviations, and implementing process improvements to streamline workflow. You’ll ensure that all orders are planned effectively to optimise production capacity and material availability, and you’ll be expected to liaise across departments to ensure efficient scheduling on the ERP system. While your primary focus will be on aftermarket planning, you will also provide cover for equipment planning when needed.

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role, you should have at least two years of experience in a production planning environment, with a solid understanding of scheduling principles and supply chain practices. Proficiency in MS Office and strong planning and organisational skills are essential, along with clear and concise communication abilities. A customer-focused approach and the flexibility to meet demanding deadlines are also important. Experience with MRP systems is desirable, and fluency in English is required. Applicants must be eligible to work in the UK, as this role does not offer visa sponsorship or relocation support.

What you'll get in return

In return, you’ll receive a competitive package that includes a 40-hour working week with hours from 7:00am to 4:00pm Monday to Thursday and 7:00am to 1:00pm on Fridays. Pay rates are reviewed annually, with the next review scheduled for April 2026. The pension scheme offers a 7% employer contribution and a 5% employee minimum. You’ll benefit from group income protection covering up to 50% of your salary in the event of long-term disability, and life assurance at six times your salary. A discretionary bonus scheme of 5% is available based on business performance, along with a 2% end-of-year payment in December. Annual leave includes 33 days (25 days plus 8 statutory days), with some set closure periods. Enhanced maternity and adoption pay includes 13 weeks of full pay, and enhanced paternity pay offers two weeks of full pay. Company sick pay increases with service, starting at one month full and one month half pay, rising to three months full and three months half pay after two years. Additional benefits include access to a Westfield cashback scheme, an employee assistance programme, occupational health support, learning and development opportunities, free car parking, and an on-site canteen.
