Product Sourcing Specialist | Office-based
I am working with a client based in Normanton, Wakefield to recruit a product specialist. If you are confident, people‑focused and great at building relationships and have experience of negotiating, working with products, and supporting sales teams to win business in a fast‑paced environment, this could be the perfect next step for you.
The Role
As a Product Sourcing Specialist, you’ll play a key part in supporting the sales team by sourcing new products, identifying suppliers, negotiating pricing and ensuring the right products reach the customer on time. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone from a retail, sales, buying, customer service or telesales background who thrives on communication and variety.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Sourcing products and identifying new suppliers to meet customer needs and market trends
- Negotiating pricing, terms and contracts to secure the best commercial outcomes
- Building strong relationships with suppliers through confident communication
- Supporting the sales team on product availability, costing and alternatives
- Managing product samples, testing and basic quality checks
- Keeping accurate records and ensuring all information is logged correctly
- Working closely with sales, buying and product teams to ensure smooth delivery of orders
What We’re Looking For
- A confident communicator – happy talking to suppliers and sales teams daily
- Someone chatty, approachable and great at building rapport.
- Experience in sales, retail, buying, customer service, or similar fast‑paced roles
- Strong organisational skills and good attention to detail
- A proactive personality with the ability to work independently
