As the business continues to grow and evolve, they are now seeking a skilled Procurement Officer to strengthen their operational and commercial capability.

Your new role

As the Procurement & Contracts Officer, you will play a pivotal role in leading and managing the end‑to‑end procurement process for goods and services across the organisation. Reporting to the Chief Finance Officer, you will:
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to maximise value for money
  • Identify, assess and evaluate potential suppliers
  • Lead negotiations to secure competitive pricing and favourable terms
  • Drive sustainability, social value and net‑zero considerations through purchasing decisions
  • Manage tender processes, including preparing documentation, evaluating bids and awarding contracts
  • Build and maintain procurement cycles with each site to support forward planning.
  • Ensure strict compliance with internal policies, legislation and best practice

What you'll need to succeed

Experience & Knowledge
  • Proven experience in procurement or purchasing
  • Strong background in contract management
  • Effective negotiation skills with the ability to build strong supplier relationships
  • Good understanding of procurement regulations and best practice
  • Analytical and problem solving capability
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and procurement systems

What you'll get in return

The annual salary for this role is £34,000. This business offers a hybrid working approach, which requires you to be on site a minimum of twice per week. As they have multiple sites across the midlands and Cheshire east, some travel is expected within this role.
