Procurement Officer

We are looking for a commercially driven Procurement Officer to join this ambitious Public Sector organisation in London. This role is hybrid with 3 days per week in the office

As the Procurement Officer, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the organisation's approach to Category Management and supporting strategic priorities.

This is a brilliant opportunity to lead procurement projects from initiation to implementation, ensuring quality, efficiency, and savings across a wide range of goods and services.

In this role you will:

Lead and manage procurement projects at PCR levels and above.
Deliver Category Plans in collaboration with Category Managers and Advisors
Analyse spend data and benchmark against best practices.
Develop streamlined procurement systems and maintain guidance materials
Provide training and support on e-tendering and self-service procurement models
Ensure compliance with the Public Procurement Act and Council policies

We are looking for

Proven experience in procurement
Strong understanding of procurement legislation and governance
Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder engagement skills
Ability to analyse complex data and present actionable insights
A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement
