Procurement Officer

We are looking for a commercially driven Procurement Officer to join this ambitious Public Sector organisation in London.

As the Procurement Officer, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the organisation's approach to Category Management and supporting strategic priorities.
This is a brilliant opportunity to lead procurement projects from initiation to implementation, ensuring quality, efficiency, and savings across a wide range of goods and services.

In this role you will:

  • Lead and manage procurement projects at PCR levels and above
  • Deliver Category Plans in collaboration with Category Managers and Advisors
  • Analyse spend data and benchmark against best practices
  • Develop streamlined procurement systems and maintain guidance materials
  • Provide training and support on e-tendering and self-service procurement models
  • Ensure compliance with the Public Procurement Act and Council policies

We are looking for

  • Proven experience in procurement
  • Strong understanding of procurement legislation and governance
  • Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to analyse complex data and present actionable insights
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement
