Your new role
As Procurement Manager, you will deliver a pipeline of procurement activity, collaborating with stakeholders and leading projects independently.
Key responsibilities include:
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing procurement strategies and identifying routes to market
- Supporting business areas in specification development
- Producing tender documents and award criteria
- Managing stakeholders and subject-matter experts throughout the procurement process
- Administering tender periods and coordinating bidder briefings
- Leading evaluation processes and commercial assessments
- Drafting and finalising contracts, addressing risks and policies
- Managing transitions from sourcing to contract management
- Advising on strategic direction and analysing spend data, market insights, and supplier reports
- Supporting governance, compliance, and risk management
- Driving sustainability and best practice in supplier and contract management
- Providing support to the wider sourcing team during peak activity
What you'll need to succeed
- Proven experience managing complex procurement pipelines and delivering commercial solutions
- End-to-end sourcing experience for high-value or complex contracts
- Public sector procurement experience, including knowledge of PCR2015 and the Procurement Act 2023
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Knowledge of various routes-to-market and contract models
- Excellent organisational, planning, and time management skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Attention to detail in documentation
- Data analysis and presentation skills
- MCIPS qualification (or working towards)
Desirable:
- Experience with e-procurement systems
- Corporate/Technology procurement experience and knowledge of industry standard contracts
- Supplier and contract management expertise
