Category Manager, Procurement Manager

Your new company
A non-for-profit organisation based near Peterborough who offer an empowering and collaborative environment with strong long-term development opportunities. This role is available on a hybrid working basis with the need to be in the office just 1-2 days per week.

Your new role
As Procurement Manager, you will play a key role in their strategic procurement operations. You will lead procurement activities across a range of high-profile indirect categories including HR, Legal, Marketing, Professional Services and FM. You will develop and implement procurement strategies, manage end-to-end tender processes, and ensure compliance with public procurement regulations. Working closely with internal stakeholders at all levels, you will build consensus and buy-in. You will also maintain contract lifecycle visibility and ensure a pro-active approach to renewals.

What you’ll need to succeed
To thrive in this role, you’ll bring:
  • Proven experience managing complex procurement projects across relevant Indirect categories
  • Expertise in category management and excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Analytical mindset and the ability to work independently or collaboratively
  • A proactive approach to decision-making and contract lifecycle management
  • PA23 trained is preferred but not essential.
