Procurement Manager, Category Manager
An outstanding newly created Procurement Management opportunity to work for this hugely aspirational and growing Cambridgeshire business. Operating in a sector that makes a tangible contribution to the world in which we live, this role sits within an established procurement team with high levels of visibility and stakeholder buy-in.
Reporting to the Head of Procurement, this role will suit an Indirect Procurement professional who can take ownership and drive best-practice across this area. Key areas of focus pertain to: supporting business planning activity; developing and embedding the category procurement strategy; providing procurement expertise to internal stakeholders; delivering procurement activity from end to end; and driving supplier performance and innovation. This exciting role will appeal to a procurement professional with the ability to act as a true ambassador for procurement across the organisation who can raise both levels of capability and engagement within the stakeholder population.
You will have the ability to build and develop effective relationships with key internal stakeholders, demonstrating a full understanding of their drivers and requirements and identifying and providing appropriate support and solutions. With exceptional influencing skills, you will have the credibility and gravitas to secure buy-in and embed best-practice procurement.
To be successful, you will have demonstrable procurement experience and the ability to apply best-practice strategic sourcing principles, be results orientated; comfortable identifying, setting & delivering against stretch targets within a fast-paced, commercial working environment.
