An established construction business based in Bradford has a new opening for an established Procurement Manager that has knowledge of the construction industry to join the team. The company operates nationally.

The main objective is to help the company procure the best goods and services in a timely manner and at the most economical advantageous price, whilst managing risk and building strong relationships with stakeholders and suppliers.
Job duties include, but not limited to:

• Liaise with key company employees to determine their product and service needs.
• Plan spend with a strong focus on cost reductions.
• Negotiate prices with suppliers
• Identify areas for improvement to continually drive performance and business results.
• Develop and implement purchasing strategies and policies to optimise procurement processes.
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure monthly stock takes are carried out and up-to-date valuations are obtained.

What you'll need to succeed

You will need 2-3 years minimum experience operating in a buying/procurement role and, ideally, in the construction or manufacturing industries. You will be a good relationship builder and capable of working with stakeholders at all levels. You will enjoy a busy and fast-paced role and be commercially astute.
