Procurement Manager Job, Permanent Position, Bradford Based, Competitive Package
Your new company
An established construction business based in Bradford has a new opening for an established Procurement Manager that has knowledge of the construction industry to join the team. The company operates nationally.
Job duties include, but not limited to:
- Liaise with key company employees to determine their product and service needs.
- Plan spend with a strong focus on cost reductions.
- Negotiate prices with suppliers
- Identify areas for improvement to continually drive performance and business results.
- Develop and implement purchasing strategies and policies to optimise procurement processes.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure monthly stock takes are carried out and up-to-date valuations are obtained.
What you'll need to succeed
You will need 2-3 years minimum experience operating in a buying/procurement role and, ideally, in the construction or manufacturing industries. You will be a good relationship builder and capable of working with stakeholders at all levels. You will enjoy a busy and fast-paced role and be commercially astute.
