Procurement Manager | 12 Month FTC | Bristol | £66k

Your new company

I am supporting an Automotive client of mine to recruit a Procurement Manager on a 12-Month FTC. The organisation is currently going through a period of transformation and is looking to bolster their procurement capability to support integration, value-for-money and supply chain excellence.

Your new role

As Procurement Manager, you'll support the team in managing full cycle procurement for a range of goods and services across automotive / fleet. You'll help to deliver wider UK procurement strategy, manage strategic tenders and help to identify quick wins whilst delivering long term category plans.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Taking ownership of procurement activities by shaping sourcing approaches and overseeing the complete delivery of allocated projects from initiation through to completion.
• Partnering with colleagues across the organisation to understand operational needs and converting these into reliable, value‑driven and compliant supply arrangements.
• Serving as a key point of contact for the UK procurement function, offering initial guidance, capturing detailed requirements and progressing defined workstreams.
• Contributing to contract oversight and renewal cycles by supporting alignment of terms, assessing risks, ensuring adherence to internal policies, and identifying opportunities to consolidate spend or unlock added commercial benefit.
• Working alongside category specialists on transformation, integration, and continuous‑improvement initiatives within the procurement function.
• Building in‑depth knowledge of both central and local procurement frameworks and helping to enhance capability across the team.
• Upholding strong governance standards through diligent risk management, consistent reporting of management information, and accurate performance tracking.
• Keeping informed of emerging procurement trends and sharing relevant insights to support strategic planning and operational decision‑making.

What you’ll need to succeed

• Proven experience in procurement, ideally with knowledge across a range of indirect categories.
• Experience managing end-to-end procurement and strong negotiation skills
• The ability to build constructive relationships and engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
• A self‑motivated, organised approach, with the confidence to take initiative and manage workload independently.
• Comfortable working with data, interpreting information and using insights to inform recommendations and business cases.
• Experience supporting organisational change, process enhancements or continuous‑improvement activities.
• Familiarity with regulated or controlled environments where compliance and governance are essential.
• Good digital skills, particularly using Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

What you’ll get in return

• A salary up to £66,000 + annual bonus
• Hybrid working in Bristol (2-3 days per week)
• 25 days annual leave + buy / sell scheme
• Competitive pension, enhanced parental leave, study support, dental and travel, EV charging etc.
