Procurement Manager - Infrastructure Projects – Remote based with travel to Herts and Hamps as required

A major UK infrastructure services provider delivering large-scale projects across Water, Energy, Highways, Aviation, Telecoms, and Rail. Serving both public and private sector clients.

Your new role

As Procurement Manager, you’ll lead procurement strategy and execution across a diverse portfolio of infrastructure projects. You’ll manage supplier relationships, lead negotiations, and oversee contract management. The role involves supporting business units with sourcing solutions, driving cost-saving initiatives, and ensuring compliance with procurement policies and regulations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading procurement strategy and execution
  • Supplier selection, negotiation, and contract management
  • Identifying procurement needs and sourcing solutions
  • Driving cost optimisation and process improvements
  • Ensuring compliance with internal and external procurement standards
  • Building strong relationships with stakeholders and suppliers
  • Monitoring supplier performance and managing supply chain risks
  • Providing strategic advice and market insights

What you'll need to succeed

  • Proven experience in procurement and supply chain management

  • Strong track record in delivering procurement projects within the infrastructure sector

  • Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills

  • Knowledge of public/private sector procurement regulations

  • Ability to work independently and travel to Herts and Hamps as required

  • MCIPS qualification (preferred)

  • Proficiency in procurement systems and Microsoft Office
