Procurement Governance and Capability Manager – Leading Public Sector Organisation

Salary: £54,000 – £71,000 per annum
Contract Type: Permanent

A leading public sector organisation is seeking a Procurement Governance and Capability Manager to join its transformation journey. About the Role

As part of the Procurement Operations and Enablement team, you will lead on governance, compliance, and capability development. You’ll oversee procurement policies, procedures, and systems to ensure alignment with the Procurement Act 2023 and other relevant regulations. This role also includes responsibility for risk management, assurance, disaster recovery planning, and the development of internal procurement resources.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain and enhance procurement policies, procedures, and e-sourcing systems to ensure regulatory compliance
Develop and implement a capability roadmap and training plan for the procurement function
Promote best practice through user engagement and accessible guidance materials
Monitor and report on procurement KPIs, including cycle times and compliance metrics
Manage internal platforms (webpage, intranet, SharePoint) to support procurement awareness and compliance

Key Requirements

Proven experience in public sector procurement governance and compliance
Strong knowledge of the Procurement Act 2023 and related regulations
Experience in capability assessments and training development
Ability to drive user engagement and produce effective promotional and guidance materials
