Procurement - Local Authority / Public Sector

This is a generalist procurement position where you’ll support a range of procurement activities across various categories. You’ll be instrumental in ensuring compliance with public sector procurement regulations while delivering value for money and supporting service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage end-to-end procurement processes in line with public sector regulations (e.g., PCR 2015)
  • Draft and issue tender documentation, evaluate bids, and support contract award processes
  • Engage with internal stakeholders to understand requirements and provide procurement guidance
  • Maintain accurate procurement records and contribute to reporting and audit readiness
  • Support contract management and supplier performance monitoring
✅ Ideal Candidate:
  • Proven experience in a procurement role within a local authority or public sector environment (essential)
  • Strong understanding of public procurement legislation and frameworks
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
  • CIPS qualification (or working towards) is desirable but not essential.
