Procurement Contracts Officer Role in a Central Government division!

Your new role
To support the Head of Commercial Strategy and Contract management in ensuring compliance with the Procurement Act 2023 and other sources of good practice, in all areas of Contract Management.
The role involves managing the Contract Register to ensure it is accurate and up-to-date, reporting weekly to the Head of Contract Management on contract statuses and ensuring all checklists are completed before sign-off. It includes working with others to redact and upload contracts to the appropriate platform, ensuring contracts are tiered before signature and handover, and managing staff contract management training. Additionally, the role requires analysing contract spend, managing the team email inbox and calendar, supporting administrative tasks, ensuring compliance with the Procurement Act 2023 (coming into place early 2025) and monitoring expiring contracts to notify colleagues.

Your new role

What you'll need to succeed
- Experience with procurement or procurement contracts or similar
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient excel skills
- Self-starter who is driven and determined to develop their procurement career
- Day rate of £200 - £300 dependent on your level of experience
- Flexible working
- Hybrid working - 2 days working from home
