Hays are working in partnership with a prominent public sector organisation to recruit a Procurement and Contracts Officer to join their Finance and Governance team. This is a permanent opportunity based at their corporate headquarters near Belfast City Centre.
Your new role
You will support the Operations and IT departments by leading procurement and contract management activities. Responsibilities include developing and coordinating strategic contracts, advising stakeholders on tendering and procurement processes, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring compliance with statutory obligations including GDPR. You will act as a key business partner across the organisation, liaising with external bodies and contributing to continuous improvement and operational excellence.

What you'll need to succeed
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in procurement and contract management with CIPS Level 4 (or working towards), or 5 years’ practical experience in the field
- Proven experience advising on ICT and operational procurement
- Strong background in contract performance management and supplier liaison
- Collaborative approach to business partnering across diverse teams
- Experience working in a complex organisation with varied ICT systems
- Desirable: Public sector procurement experience and working with Central Procurement Directorate
