Interim Procurement and Contracts Manager

Your new role
As Project and Contracts Manager, you will lead the delivery and management of contracts associated with the planning. This includes overseeing a diverse portfolio of suppliers, creative partners, and cultural activations, ensuring all contracted services and programmes are delivered to a world-class standard.

You’ll be at the heart of planning and delivering immersive experiences for athletes, spectators, and the wider community, from the Opening Ceremony to athlete celebrations. The role reports directly to the Chief Marketing and Communications Officer.

What you'll need to succeed
  • Proven experience in contract management and project delivery
  • Strong understanding of event experience components such as entertainment, cultural activations, and stakeholder services
  • Excellent negotiation, contract, and vendor management skills
  • Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing abilities
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in project management tools and contract tracking systems
  • Knowledge of relevant legal and procurement frameworks
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Project management certification (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP) is desirable.
  • Experience in major events, sport, sponsorship, or entertainment contexts is advantageous.
  • Personal qualities such as being self-motivated, proactive, resilient, reliable, and a natural communicator
