Your new role
As a Procurement Advisor, you will support the delivery of procurement activities across the business. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and senior procurement colleagues to drive value, improve processes, and maintain high standards across contracts and supplier performance.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing procurement activities across goods, services, and projects
- Supporting the development and implementation of procurement policies and procedures
- Reviewing quotations and negotiating pricing with key suppliers
- Managing supplier compliance with group procurement processes
- Supporting tenders, specifications, and contract reviews
- Monitoring purchasing activity and identifying cost-saving opportunities
- Building and maintaining strong supplier relationships
- Providing procurement advice and guidance to internal stakeholders
This role offers broad exposure across procurement operations, with a focus on driving efficiency, commercial value, and compliance.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this Procurement Advisor role, you will bring:
- Previous experience in procurement and contract management
- Strong knowledge of procurement best practice
- Experience procuring commodities, services, or capital projects
- Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- A high level of commercial awareness and attention to detail
- Confidence using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- The ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels
- CIPS qualification or working towards it would be desirable.
