Your new role
In this role, you will take ownership of the Accounts Payable function and lead procurement operations, ensuring all purchasing activity aligns with internal policies and public sector regulations. You’ll manage a small finance team, support budget holders across the organisation, and oversee the tendering and contract process. You’ll also be responsible for maintaining procurement systems, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring audit compliance. This is a hands-on role that blends strategic oversight with day-to-day financial coordination.

Your new role

What you'll need to succeed
- Recent experience in a similar procurement and accounts payable role
- Strong working knowledge of financial systems (Agresso experience desirable)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications
- Familiarity with public sector procurement frameworks (NIPPP)
- Ability to follow structured processes and ensure policy compliance
- Experience preparing tenders, managing contracts, and resolving disputes
- Proven ability to lead and manage a team effectively
- MCIPS qualification or a degree in a business-related subject
- GCSEs in Maths and English (grades A–C or equivalent)
- Access to transport for business-related travel
