Interim Senior Procurement and Contracts Manager – Professional Services

About the role

This Commercial and Procurement team is evolving to introduce a robust end-to-end category management capability. This includes Contract and Procurement Managers, Tender Compliance Specialists, and Category Managers who will enable a more efficient, data-driven, and results-focused way of working. This role is for an experienced Senior Procurement and Contracts Manager to join the Professional Services Category team and play a key role in shaping this transformation.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and manage sourcing strategies for Professional Services, including consultancy, recruitment, and training.
  • Produce compliant sourcing plans and contract awards under Public Contracts Regulations and the Procurement Act 2023.
  • Manage supplier performance and risk, ensuring contracts deliver against transformation objectives.
  • Support the creation of multi-year category plans
  • Act as a trusted partner to stakeholders, ensuring proactive engagement and timely resolution of issues.
  • Deputise for the Contract and Procurement Manager when required.
About You

  • Strong knowledge of public procurement legislation and sourcing methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience managing complex procurements within Professional Services.
  • Familiarity with procurement tools, databases, and Microsoft 365/SharePoint.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work flexibly in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for transformation and delivering best-in-class procurement outcomes.
