Principal Security Architect - Contract - Hybrid

Overview

We are seeking a Principal Security Architect to lead the design, governance, and assurance of secure architectures across large-scale application transformation programmes. This role will ensure security is embedded into cloud adoption (Azure) and modernisation initiatives, aligning with enterprise standards and regulatory requirements.

6-Month Contract
Hybrid from London (3 days a week on-site)
Paying unto £950 per day

Requirements

Security Architecture & Assurance – Define and review secure-by-design architectures for applications migrating to Azure; conduct reviews, identify risks, and drive remediation.
Advisory & Governance – Provide expert guidance on cloud security best practices; support design authority forums and ensure compliance with security frameworks.
Stakeholder Engagement – Partner with architects, engineering teams, and senior stakeholders to align on security strategy and solutions.
Reporting & Improvement – Deliver clear security posture reporting, track risks, and contribute to continuous improvement of security practices.
Strong experience in application transformation (re-platform, re-architect, re-factor)
Deep knowledge of cloud security (Azure), security frameworks, and enterprise architecture
Proven track record in security architecture reviews and risk assessments

Course description
Hacking has gone from an obscure term to something that appears in the daily news. In this course we'll get started with what is hacking and understand some of the differences between "white hat" hackers and "black" or "grey" hat hackers. It will cover at a high level what are some of the essential tools a hacker needs to know about and be proficient with as well as the credentials of a hacker and what you can expect when becoming a Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), an certification by the EC-Council.
Each LearnNowOnline training course is made up of Modules (typically an hour in length). Within each module there are Topics (typically 15-30 minutes each) and Subtopics (typically 2-5 minutes each). There is a Post Exam for each Module that must be passed with a score of 70% or higher to successfully and fully complete the course.

Prerequisites
To get the most out of this course, this course assumes that you have a good working knowledge of Linux and Windows based networking environments. It also assumes that you have experience with managing a network, have worked with networking hardware such as switches & routers, are familiar with MS Active Directory (AD) Domain based authentication, know how to work with command-line utilities, and understand the basics of Web Server environments. Many of the demonstrations in this course use the Windows 7 and Kali Linux operating systems which can be downloaded free from the respective sites. All of the demonstrations are created in a virtual environment using Oracle VirtualBox and VMware vSphere 6.
