Principal Product Designer - Financial Services - £650pd (Inside IR35) – 5 months rolling - Hybrid (London)

Your new company

A global financial technology organisation is seeking a Principal Product Designer to join a high-performing design team delivering enterprise platforms, workflow tools and data-rich applications. You'll work on complex products at scale and help shape the adoption of emerging AI-powered design capabilities.

Your new role

As a Principal Product Designer, you'll lead UX and product design across complex enterprise applications, partnering with Product, Engineering and business stakeholders to solve challenging user problems.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Extensive experience as a Principal Product Designer, Lead Product Designer or Senior UX Designer

  • Strong background designing complex enterprise applications within financial services, banking, capital markets, fintech or similarly complex regulated environments

  • Proven experience leading UX strategy, product discovery, user research and interaction design for enterprise-scale products

  • Deep understanding of information architecture, design systems, accessibility and modern design methodologies

  • Proven expertise across the full product design lifecycle, from research and discovery through to delivery

  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior business and technology leaders

  • Experience working with enterprise-scale design systems

  • A portfolio demonstrating successful delivery of complex products and measurable user outcomes

  • Experience with AI-enabled design tools, Figma AI, VS Code or similar technologies would be highly advantageous
