Principal Mechanical Engineer, you'll play a vital role in every aspect of mechanical engineering on Transformational Programmes for critical UK infrastructure with opportunities.
To work on iconic engineering projects. They specialise in all aspects of mechanical engineering, within multiple challenging and engaging sectors such as Water, Aviation, Defence, Energy, Cities & Development and Education.

Your new role

  • Lead and oversee technical design activities, ensuring compliance with relevant standards, codes, and high-quality benchmarks.
  • Prepare project briefs and scopes of work, and contribute to the development of bid proposals.
  • Manage project timelines and budgets, delivering work to agreed milestones and programme requirements.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in the UK and internationally to deliver integrated design solutions.
  • Maintain adherence to quality assurance processes and standards throughout all design phases.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Chartered Mechanical Engineer (preferred).
  • Proven experience in leading design delivery, including coordination of multidisciplinary teams.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of mechanical equipment such as pumps, blowers, screens, and chemical dosing systems, combined with a strong understanding of current UK design standards and best practices.
  • Solid grasp of legislation and compliance requirements, including CDM and ATEX regulations.
  • Water or waste background would stand out!
  • Related industry experience with chemical, oil, gas or pharmaceutical experience would be desired
