We are looking for an experienced Principal Electrical Design Engineer to lead and deliver innovative building services projects across a range of sectors, including healthcare, education, commercial, and public sector developments. This is a senior role that combines technical expertise with leadership and client-facing responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of electrical design projects from concept through to completion.
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers, ensuring high-quality design output and technical excellence.
- Coordinate with other disciplines to deliver fully integrated solutions.
- Engage with clients on technical and commercial matters, building strong relationships.
- Contribute to business development and support senior leadership in resource planning.
- Produce detailed electrical designs using industry-standard software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and calculation tools.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant standards, legislation, and best practice, including energy efficiency and low-carbon requirements.
What We’re Looking For
- Degree-qualified in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
- Chartered Engineer status (or working towards it).
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in building services design, ideally within consultancy.
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems and associated regulations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver on time and within budget.
Desirable:
- Experience in healthcare projects and knowledge of HTMs and HBNs.
- Membership of professional bodies such as CIBSE or IET.
- Familiarity with sustainability and net-zero design principles.
