London Borough contract Principal Development Management Planner - 6 months plus

Your new company

This Central London Borough has always been pro-development and their Planning team have won multiple awards over the years for its level of service. The team is very stable and mostly permanent employees, but there is a need for a long-term contractor to pick up some complex Major Project schemes.

Your new role

This role will work on a range of major planning applications and complex strategic projects. You will be tasked with providing expert professional advice to the Council, elected members, developers and key stakeholders.

What you'll need to succeed

You must have worked in a similar role in a UK-based LPA. You will need an in-depth knowledge of UK planning law and, ideally, London-specific frameworks.

What you'll get in return

The hourly rate for this contract is between £40ph and £50ph with 2 days a week in the office. There might be some further flexibility on rate depending on experience. This is a long-term contract and will likely be extended beyond the 6 months.
