Principal/Associate Ecologist - Permanent Job - Cambridgeshire (Hybrid) - £45,000 - £60,000 DOE

Your New Role
You’ll be joining as a Principal or Associate Ecologist, stepping into a leadership role within a local team of 2 and a wider team of 11 ecologists. You’ll lead exciting regional projects, manage clients, QA reports, and contribute to business development. Expect a 50/50 split between solar and residential schemes (with others in the mix), for e.g. a large solar project in Bedfordshire and residential developments across Beds, Herts, and Essex.

What You'll Need to Succeed
  • 8+ years’ experience in ecology consultancy
  • Strong project management and business development skills
  • Ability to lead surveys, write quotes, QA reports, and manage clients
  • Ideally FISC Level 3 to lead habitat surveys
  • Personable, proactive, and collaborative approach
  • BSc in Ecology or related field (2:1 or higher is desirable)
  • Full CIEEM membership or working towards
  • Full UK Driving licence
