Working with a dynamic team in a London Borough, this role will be covering maternity leave.


Your new role

Take responsibility for financial planning, budgetary control, capital financing, and capital programme management across the Public Realm and Property and Assets divisions. This is a pivotal role ensuring that our services deliver value for money, operate within a balanced budget, and maintain the highest standards of financial governance.
  • Lead financial planning, forecasting, and budgetary control processes.
  • Ensure accuracy and reliability of financial data submitted for Public Realm and Property and Assets.
  • Oversee capital financing and capital programme management.
  • Conduct financial reviews and appraisals of projects to support delivery options and value for money.
  • Deliver training to staff on accounting procedures, financial planning, and budgetary controls.
  • Promote awareness of financial regulations and approval requirements to build financial literacy across the divisions.


What you'll need to succeed
We are looking for a candidate with:
  • Strong experience in public sector finance, ideally within local government.
  • Proven ability to lead financial planning and capital programme management.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
