Location: Waltham Forest, East London
Salary: £150 - £170 per day (depending on experience)
Contract: Flexible supply work (short-term and long-term opportunities)

About the Role
Hays Education is working in partnership with a range of primary schools across Waltham Forest to recruit enthusiastic and adaptable Primary Supply Teachers. This is an excellent opportunity for qualified teachers who enjoy variety and want to gain experience across EYFS, KS1, and KS2. Whether you are seeking day-to-day supply or longer-term placements, we can offer flexible opportunities to suit your availability.
Key Responsibilities
•Deliver engaging lessons across EYFS, KS1, or KS2, following school policies and curriculum guidelines.
•Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports pupil learning and wellbeing.
•Adapt quickly to new settings, building strong relationships with pupils and staff.
•Uphold safeguarding and behaviour management policies consistently.
•Provide feedback to schools to ensure continuity of learning.
What We’re Looking For
•Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching in UK primary schools.
•Confidence and flexibility to teach across different year groups.
•Strong classroom management skills and ability to engage pupils effectively.
•A proactive, professional approach with excellent communication skills.
Compliance Requirements
At Hays Education, safeguarding is our top priority. All candidates must meet the following compliance requirements before starting work:
•Hold a valid Enhanced DBS check (on the update service or willing to apply).
•Provide proof of right to work in the UK.
•Supply two recent professional references covering the last two years.
•Complete mandatory safeguarding and compliance training provided by Hays.
