A rewarding opportunity has arisen for a qualified and experienced SENCO to join a dynamic primary school in Doncaster on a part-time basis (2 days per week). This is a fixed-term role for one academic year, beginning in January, ideal for someone looking to make a measurable impact in a setting where inclusive education is a priority.

The Role
As SENCO, you will lead and coordinate the schools SEND provision, working closely with staff, families, and external agencies to ensure pupils with additional needs are identified early and supported effectively.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Managing the SEND register and ensuring statutory compliance
  • Coordinating EHCP applications, reviews, and provision mapping
  • Supporting staff with inclusive teaching strategies and differentiation
  • Liaising with parents, carers, and external professionals
  • Monitoring progress and outcomes for pupils with SEND
  • Contributing to whole-school development and strategic planning

Essential Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • National Award for SEN Coordination
  • Substantial experience as a SENCO in a primary setting
  • Strong understanding of current SEND legislation and best practice
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills
