About the Role

Hays Education is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Supply SEN Teaching Assistants to support primary schools across Newham. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced candidates who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with SEN needs.

As a Supply SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work flexibly across EYFS, KS1, and KS2, providing tailored support to pupils with a range of needs. You will collaborate closely with class teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to ensure every child can access the curriculum and thrive in a safe, inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEN.
•Assist teachers in adapting resources and lesson plans to meet individual needs.
•Promote positive behaviour and inclusion within the classroom.
•Support with observations, assessments, and progress tracking.
•Work collaboratively with staff, parents, and external agencies.

What We’re Looking For

•Previous experience working with children with SEN in a primary setting.
•Strong knowledge of child development and inclusive teaching strategies.
•Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills.
•Ability to adapt quickly to different school environments.
•Relevant qualifications (Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, Level 6 SEN, or equivalent).
