A well-regarded primary school in South Birmingham, B26 is seeking a professional, welcoming, and highly organised part-time school administrator to join their committed team. The role is 3 days a week (Mon, Tues and Fri), to commence in January.

Your new role

This is a key role that requires a warm and approachable manner, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. You will be the first point of contact for students, parents, staff, and visitors, helping to maintain a safe and supportive school environment.

This is a part-time, term-time only job, working Monday, Tuesday and Friday, 8.00am – 4.00pm. The role is temporary on an ongoing basis.

Experience working in a school setting is essential. A DBS on the update service and familiarity with school systems such as Arbor would be advantageous.

Duties may include:

  • Answering and directing telephone calls with professionalism and discretion
  • Greeting and signing visitors in line with safeguarding procedures
  • Managing incoming and outgoing mail and correspondence
  • Supporting pupil attendance tracking and data entry
  • Coordinating appointments and meetings with parents and external agencies
  • Assisting with general administrative tasks and reprographics
  • Upholding school policies on safeguarding, confidentiality, and data protection
