Position : Primary Class Teacher
Are you a passionate and creative educator looking to make a real difference in a beautiful rural setting? Join our warm and welcoming team here at Hays and work in a stunning Cotswold countryside primary school, where learning is inspired by nature, community, and curiosity.

We’re looking for a Primary Class Teacher who:
  • Brings energy, enthusiasm, and a love of teaching
  • Has a strong understanding of the primary curriculum
  • Values outdoor learning and child-led exploration
  • Builds positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues
  • Encourages creativity, independence, and resilience in every child

Essential Criteria:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Proven experience teaching in a primary setting (EYFS, KS1 or KS2)
  • Strong understanding of the National Curriculum and effective assessment strategies
  • Ability to create a stimulating, inclusive, and well-managed classroom
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A reflective practitioner with a growth mindset and willingness to contribute to whole-school development

Desirable Attributes:
  • Experience or interest in outdoor learning and forest school
  • Ability to integrate creative arts, music, or STEM into the curriculum
  • Familiarity with SEND strategies and inclusive teaching practices
  • A sense of humour and a collaborative spirit
