Press Operative
Hays recruitment currently has a position for a Press Operative. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining press machinery to produce high-quality components. You will ensure that all work meets production standards and customer requirements, while adhering to health and safety guidelines. The Press Operative will also assist in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate press machines and associated equipment safely and efficiently
- Carry out routine checks and basic maintenance on machinery
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and job specifications
- Monitor production quality and report any issues promptly.
- Work collaboratively with the team to meet production targets
Requirements
- Previous experience operating press machinery in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Self-motivated with a flexible and proactive approach
- Good communication and teamwork skills
