Premium and Claims Technician - up to £60k - 5 days a week in office

Your new job working as a premium and claims technician will be for a highly respected Lloyd’s insurance broker that delivers outstanding client service. Your new company specialises in a wide range of businesses, including Protection and Indemnity, specialist risks, property and casualty, reinsurance, binding/delegated authorities, marine, energy and other associated risks. Your new company aims to provide their clients with a distinctive personal service, technically sound advice and tailor-made insurance products to meet their specific needs and requirements. Due to the continued growth of the company, they are looking to hire a Premium and Claims Technician on a full-time, permanent basis.
Your new role
Your new role as a premium and claims technician means that you will be responsible for multidisciplined technical processing, incorporating premium, pro rata and international claims for Marine. You will be working independently, managing priorities and supporting team colleagues to ensure customer satisfaction. You will need to converse with clients and carriers on a technical level, build relationships with the team, external and internal clients as well as participating in client and reinsurer meetings as required. Part of your role will also include broker support. This means you will prepare and maintain account statistics, provide support in the overall servicing of the client’s account and retention of business, use electronic methods throughout the full process, risk sign down and debroke. Another key part of your role will be Marine Claims. This means that you will negotiate claims from initial notice, through the settlement and closure of claims, cover complex claims covering all classes of business, including marine reinsurance and binders, reinsurer audit and direct including underwriter rep. You will be negotiating claims matters and completing adjustments proactively and, in the time, frames required to avoid client penalty.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed in this role, you will need to possess prior knowledge of the Lloyd’s and/or company reinsurance market. You must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in marine claims broking or processing. It is important that you are happy to work 5 days a week in the office for a small growing team.
