Hays have partnered with a leading financial services organisation to appoint an experienced PMO Lead to a key regulatory programme. We are specifically looking for applicants with Big 4 experience, so if you bring that + strong PMO experience who can demonstrate strong experience within complex regulatory change programmes in financial services, then we want to hear from you.

Role: PMO Lead/Manager
Length: 6-months + extension
Location: London
Hybrid: Yes, 3 days in-office
Rate: £600 - £630/day via Umbrella

Your new role

As the PMO Lead, your role will provide hands-on leadership across the following areas:

• Lead a major regulatory & Anti‑Financial Crime programme, driving governance, delivery discipline, and audit‑ready execution across complex, cross‑functional workstreams.

• Own programme controls end‑to‑end – schedules, RAID, budgets, resourcing, MI, and quality assurance – ensuring commitments are met with precision and pace.

• Act as a trusted partner to senior leaders, influencing without authority, shaping decision‑making, and embedding strong PMO standards, transparency, and continuous improvement.

• Coach and elevate PMO capability, fostering a high‑performance culture while navigating competing priorities with agility, structure, and exceptional stakeholder management.

• Putting packs and presentations together is a key part of this role, hence the requirement to come from a Big 4 background.
