Although titled as a PMO Coordinator, this role is fundamentally centred around Business Support. It’s a dynamic and varied position that differs significantly from traditional Project Officer or PMO Analyst roles.
Key Responsibilities:
•Project Management Tool Administration: Managing user access and resolving queries for tools such as Verto; triaging issues and requests.
•Assurance Coordination: Supporting the internal assurance process by coordinating review teams and managing the Assurance Pool.
•Inbox Management: Triaging three key inboxes:
- Central Project Profession Centre (comms, events, capability, maturity)
- Verto (digital tool management)
- Resourcing Requests
• Communications & Events: Acting as the first point of contact for stakeholders; supporting event logistics and communications.
• Capability & Training Support: Coordinating training requests and producing capability reports.
• Resourcing Support: Handling initial resourcing enquiries and triaging requests.
• Secretariat Duties: Providing secretariat support including minute-taking for the Project Profession Steering Board.
Each day brings something new, and the scope of the role goes well beyond what’s typically expected in a PMO setting.
